About

A chef coat lives between the pan and the laundry.

Customized Chef Coats supplies kitchen jackets in bulk — double-breasted line coats, vented hot-kitchen builds, executive and women’s fits, culinary school sets and multi-site uniform programmes.

Custom printed chef coats with logo

Most chef coats are bought as workwear-catalogue items: a white jacket, a logo, a quantity.

Then they meet a real kitchen — forty degrees at the pass, a pan that spits, and an industrial laundry that melts plastic buttons and strips printed names — and the programme quietly fails by week six.

Everything we make is specified for those two facts: the pan in front of the coat, and the wash that comes after every service.

Why we exist

Chef coats fail the same three ways everywhere: buttons that do not survive the laundry, printed names that wash to ghosts, and ‘lightweight’ coats that are thin exactly where the fryer can reach them.

None of those are fabric-catalogue problems. They are specification problems, decided at the quote, which is where we do our work.

The double-breasted front is a tool

The overlap does two jobs. It is a second layer of cloth between the cook and steam or splash. And it re-buttons the opposite way, so a front panel that catches a sauce swaps for the clean one underneath mid-service.

That is why the style has survived two hundred years of kitchens, and why we sell it as a function rather than a tradition.

Won or lost at the wash

Industrial laundering runs hot enough to melt sewn plastic buttons and harsh enough to strip any printed name. So our coats close with cloth-covered knot buttons or removable studs, and every name, title and mark is embroidered — proofed as a stitch-out at actual size before production.

We also ask about your laundry arrangement before quoting cloth, because a coat specified for the wrong wash is a countdown, not a uniform.

Cooling is panel mapping

A hot kitchen does not need a thinner coat; it needs ventilation where body heat actually leaves. Vented or mesh back panels and underarm eyelets cool the cook, while the front stays a proper twill where the splash arrives.

A coat that is light everywhere is cooler right up until the pan spits at it, and we write that on the quote rather than in small print.

Fit is a safety spec

A women’s fit coat is a different cut, not a shrunk unisex — and it matters beyond comfort, because a sleeve rolled twice to fit is loose fabric beside steam and flame.

Both cuts run in the same fabrics and the same held size curve, so a whole brigade fits on day one instead of week six.

Honest about protection

A chef coat is not PPE. It buys reaction seconds against splash and steam; it does not protect against fryer immersion or open flame, and we will not describe it as if it does.

In the same spirit: white is only the right colour where the laundry can keep it white. Where it cannot, black or pinstripe is the honest specification and we recommend it plainly.

How we price

No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with the cloth, the cut, the embroidery and the quantity, and it drops steeply across intakes, brigades and multi-site programmes. Send the details and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one.

What we will talk you out of

Sewn plastic buttons. Printed names. Short sleeves on the fry station. White coats for a kitchen without serious laundry. And a coat sold as protection.

Every one of those costs us money to say and saves you a failed programme.
